Surgery
When we are young, the lens inside the eye is clear. Light rays pass through the cornea and natural lens to focus clearly on the retina.
As we age, the lens inside the eye becomes cloudy, blocking and scattering light rays before they reach the retina. This is called a cataract.
In order to restore clear vision, the cataract must be surgically removed.
A clear artificial Intra-ocular lens is then implanted into the same location as the natural lens to restore vision.
